Hike to Blue Mountain with the Sierra Club!

Join the Sierra Club for a guided 5 km hike to Blue Mountain!

Saturday July 26th from 10am- 2pm

A part of the Sierra Club’s mission is to enjoy nature, as well as protect it, and a hike in the beautiful outdoors is a great way to do just that!

Bob Macdonald from the Halifax North West Trails Association will be taking a group of ~10 on a 5km hike to one of the highest points on the peninsula which provides wonderful panoramic views of several lakes, the Halifax harbour and the windmill in Goodwood.

This hike is rated beginner (suitable for children 10 and up), and waterproof hiking shoes are recommended as we’ll have to cross a stream or two.

The trail head is at the end of Anahid Dr in the Kingswood sub-division south of Hammonds Plains Road see maps below). We’ll meet at the trail head at 9:45am

Members and non-members welcome, invite a friend! There is a 10 person maximum so RSVP early!

The hike is free and a lunch will be provided at no cost (meat, vegetarian and vegan options available) Please inform us of your choice when you RSVP.
