Clean Nova Scotia’s Campus Climate Outreach

Clean Nova Scotia’s Campus Climate Outreach

The Climate Change Centre (CCC) has been in existence since 2000, and is a provincial program of the environmental non-profit Clean Nova Scotia (www.clean.ns.ca). Our mandate is to provide free education and outreach services to Nova Scotians on issues related to climate change,

with the goal that this education leads to action! Please visit www.clean.ns.ca/ccc to learn more.

For the 2008-2009 school term, the CCC is pleased to offer the following to campuses:

Campus Climate Action Guide: A new document published by the CCC, the Guide assists in mobilizing student groups to undertake action projects on climate change. This resource provides ideas for action projects related to energy, food, solid waste, and transportation on campus. Best practices for success and a list of on-line resources are also included. This resource is FREE, and available in either hard copy or PDF format at www.clean.ns.ca/ccc à Campus Climate.

Workshops – Facilitating Student Action on Climate Change: As a complement to the Campus Climate Action Guide, the CCC will provide free workshops to interested student groups. The purpose of these workshops is to facilitate student selection, planning, and implementation of climate-related action projects on campus or within their broader community.
